Although I'm an avid reader, this was my first step into the fantasy genre. In that I was unfamiliar, with this type of literary work, I was pleasantly surprised, as I thoroughly enjoyed it & was quite intrigued by the story line. The author was able to describe what Sam felt, what he saw & the actions he took with such uniquely graphic detail that even though I had never heard of such---I was actually able to visualize it. The characters, the constantly changing/evolving settings, atmosphere &, not to mention the monsters-- were all so vividly described that I could literally see it/them in"my mind's eye." :) Throughout, I kept thinking, "WOW, this would make a great film!"

Easy reading and taps into your imagination as you envision each character . Fight scenes are vivid and takes you to another dimension ! Would love to see this live in a movie format -3D !
Death God’s Window was a hoot to read! I loved all the references to Kansas, the zany characters, the evil vs. good story line and the descriptions of all the places the book took me. Fun stuff!
I would have given this five stars, but I don't want the author to rest on his laurels! Very enjoyable reading, like Piers Anthony meets 50 Shades of Gray. It was a beautiful story, well told with some SPICE! Looking forward to the next book from Troy Smith.
