I was first introduced to K.F. Breene with an intro to this series inside a boxed set, and I sought this series out from there. To this day, this is still my favorite series of Breene's. She is realistic in a magical world, and writes amazing heroines with epic supporting male characters. The absolute level of sass in Shanti with her young Guards is highly entertaining. There is a great amount of suspense as the team works through improbable odds to overcome a horrible dictator. I really do wish the series never ended. This is a great deal for three books, and I highly recommend this series even if the final ending in book 6 wasn't the ending I would have enjoyed for such a great series.

I thoroughly enjoyed these books. Love this author and everything I've read by her.

I love the strong and determined female characters in this series. Absolutely riveting!
I started off with just these three, but ended up downloading the rest of the series (4-6) because I want to see how all this is going to end.
It was totally entertaining. Fast-past action packed, just the right amount of tension and suspense. Kept me fully engaged with the story. Sad when it was over.
This series is so well written I absolutely loved it. I'm impressed that this author who usually writes smutty stuff ( which I love as well) wrote this. Love the characters and the the entire story.
I feel in love with everyone her and survivor in this series. Shanti and Cayan were a match made to be for all times and most of those times were hard and painful but they worked side by side to see the end of a dictator and to being peace back to many nations.
The love they had for each was bountiful but the love they shared with all their many family and friends had no boundaries.
I highly recommend this series. It has action, romance, humour, and a great cast of characters you will love. Shanti and Cayan are the two lead hero's and you are rooting for them to succeed against the evil forces trying to conquer their world. So going over to buy the last three books in this series to find out what more dangers they will have to face before they can finally defeat their enemy's.
I saw this advertised on my page, took a chance and became completely captivated by this series. Here is why
1) The series has a total of 6 books featuring the same main characters. I like this type of series since it gives ample pages for the author to build the depth of the story and characters.
2) The main story on the War did not become a side show because of the romance. Rather it moves side by side with the romance.
3) The adventures are endless and the fight scenes are described so well that it is easy to visualise them.
4) The romance is great - slowly building without the use of endless sex scenes like a lot of authors. The scenes between Cayan and Shanti always make me thrilled.
If you like adventure/fantasy with romance, try this series now.
